Crosby Street Studios was honored to collaborate with designer Dan Fink to create a custom carpets for his redesign of the American Ballet Theater Dancers Lounge. The project was recently featured in the July 2017 issue of AD.

The passion project was spearheaded by Amy Astley, Editor-In-Chief of Architectural Digest and included contributions from leading design firms and manufacturers including Century Furniture, Circa Lighting, Sunbrella, Farrow & Ball and Hunter Douglas. The entire project including construction was made possible by generous patrons and partner donations, and all of Dan’s design work was done pro bono.

The lounge serves as a place for dancers to relax as well as the main entertaining space for the American Ballet Theater to host fundraisers and patron events. The new dancer’s lounge is a sun-filled white space warmed by cream color upholstery with furnishings and lighting designed by Thomas O’Brien. The wood floors were painted white and topped with the two custom neutral colored rugs with the simple design made of a mixed textured loop and cut pile with semi-worsted wool and Luxe Nylon that adds a luxurious sheen.
