Geometric Hand Tufted Rugs by Crosby Street Studios

Crosby Street Studios has just launched a new capsule collection of hand tufted rugs. For these designs, the Design team looked to the exaggerated geometric prints and mixing a matching of patterns found in fashion.

The collection includes bold zigzags, pentagonal and hexagonal shapes, rounds, diamonds, triangles, and stripes to name a few.

Sterling in Wes, wool and dull silk cut pile hand tufted with a gradation effect designed by Crosby Street Studios.

The color palette has a purposely retro and funky 60’s and 70’s look and the scale of the designs transform these graphic rugs into sophisticated contemporary classics. Think Miuccia Prada, Emilio Pucci, meets David Hicks, and Janis Joplin at Woodstock.

The rugs are made mostly from wool, and dull silk with some Luxe Nylon yarn and a variety of techniques were used to make them including recessed loop and multi-level raised pile heights to achieve highlights and textural play within each different pattern and design.
